Countryside Presbyterian Church gathers for worship services every Sunday morning.
We hold a blended service including contemporary Christian music and weekly communion at 8:30 am. We hold a traditional worship service at 10:30 am, and offer communion at the traditional service on the first Sunday of the month. Worship is the heart of any church. Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world. (Directory for Worship, W-1.1001) |
Worship & Music CommitteeThis committee is responsible to ensure that the sanctuary is ready for each service and has the people necessary for a successful worship experience. We are responsible for having greeters, ushers, people to run the video and audio, and certified child care people for each service. We make sure there are the appropriate number of elders for any service at which communion is served. It is this committee that prepares communion before the service and sees that all is cleaned up after the service.
We are also in charge of the sanctuary preparation—making sure the correct paraments are in place on the proper Sundays and that the sanctuary is ready for worship. The music director and Pastor are an important part of This committee and attend our meetings; it is our purpose to work with them, and try to make our worship experience as meaningful as possible for the congregation. The Worship and Music Committee holds its regular meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am. We do not meet in the months of July and August. |
Audio & Visual TeamThe A/V Team is made up of volunteers who operate the Sound Console, create and project PowerPoint Slides, and operate the video camera, recorder, and disk duplicator. We also provide and maintain personal hearing equipment. Our purpose is to enhance worship and other events at Countryside.
